Dalesbridge is at the hart of arguably some of the best walking country. Be it a casual stroll across the field to the nearby village of Clapham to completing the challenging 3 Peaks Walk in under 12 hours.
This popular 24.5 mile 3 Peaks Walk involves climbing the three local peaks, Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent and is normally started and finished at Horton-in-Ribblesdale, which is just a 10 minute drive from Dalesbridge. We have many groups and individuals who undertake the challenge that stay with us. A route guide can be found here.
For those less energetic a trip up any of the peaks can make a wonderful day excursion and Ingleborough can be climbed directly from Dalesbridge or from the nearby village of Clapham. An alternative is a walk up Crummack Dale and up to see the Norber Erratics.
Oxenber woods is also an excellent short walk from Dalesbridge, at its best in mid May when the wildflowers are outstanding. A very special place.
Another incredibly popular local walk is the waterfalls walk at Ingleton it is a 4.5mile (8km) circular walk through two spectacular gorges.
At reception we sell local maps as well as giving advice on suitable routes etc. We can also recommend local low level walks all of which will give you the benefit of enjoying the local scenic countryside.
